An unprecedented collection of water lilies can be admired in a family household
It bloomed one of the most beautiful flowers in the world. An unprecedented collection of about 60 varieties of water lilies can be admired in Bardar, Ialoveni, in the garden of a family that grows these flowers for the time being just out of passion for beauty. The collection has been gathered from all over the world, such as the UK, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and even from Thailand, TV Moldova 1 reports.
Gheorghe Luchita grows water lilies for more than five years. The passion for these aquatic flowers began during a trip to the United States of America. Since then, he has made great efforts to grow them, and now enjoys a special collection.

"I first saw them in the US, where they grew wild. I told myself that I would only have water lilies after I found a lady in Chisinau, who had two varieties of old water lilies. The varieties were badly eaten by the fish, my first attempt, but I did not leave until I did not see that they were growing very well," florist Gheorghe Luchita said.

Family occupation is more a hobby than a business, as it does not bring much profit. Prices of water lilies start at 10 euros and can reach 100 euros. Flowers are not very much on sale, because they wither fast.

Towards the end of summer, the florist looks forward to the flowering of the more distinct species of black and blue water lilies.

"They are not pretentious at all, they do not need care. A necessary condition is that they need a lot of light, the more light the water lily produces and thus produces more flowers. Another condition is that water is stable and contains mineral fertilizers. Especially needs nitrogen to produce leaf. And it needs phosphorus to produce flowers," Gheorghe Luchita explained.

For now, lovers of beauty can see the lilies in Bardar for free.

"It's free, we think maybe next year to do something more organized. Parking is needed, toilet care and all this requires spending," he added.

The lilies bloom from the end of the spring until October. Lilies collections can also be admired at the Botanical Garden in Chisinau and in the Dendrariu Park in the Buiucani sector of the capital.

Carmelia Albu – Ombudsman of the Public Broadcaster „Teleradio-Moldova”, in the service of community

Ombudsman service is an independent source of information, explanation and analysis of the Public Broadcaster’s programs and adherence to European standards and practices of broadcasting programs’ development.

Ombudsman is a mediator who handles complaints between a televiewer /radio-listener or a group of people and the Broadcaster. Ombudsman replies to the questions of TV viewers and Radio-listeners, receives and reviews complaints from people.

“Ombudsman” was first used in its modern sense in 1809 when the Swedish Parliament established the office of Justitieombudsman, who was to look after citizens’ interests in their dealings with government.

Later, in 1988, a similar service was established in media in France. It was a real "explosion” that caused the appearance of similar services in other world countries.
