Cabinet of Ministers approved, at the meeting today, the Transplant National Programme for 2017-2021 and an action plan on its implementation. The document aims to develop an efficient transplant operations system and ensure citizens' access to transplantation of organs, tissues or cells. Authorities propose to make 50 kidney transplants per year until 2021. On this subject, we discuss on Wednesday, February 15, during the talk show "Moldova live".
The program aims to improve the quality of medical services, following a 60% increase in the number of kidney transplant operations and 45% of liver transplant operations, compared to 2016. Also, the goals set in the program include increasing by 10 % the number of tissue transplants, cardiopulmonary transplantation and expanding informing actions of citizens in the field of transplantation.

This topic will be discussed in the studio with Director of Transplant Agency, Igor Codreanu; Nicolae Lupascu of the Public Association of Transplant Recipients and Elena Schiopu, a former patient who has undergone a transplant.
