Moldovans arrested in France for stealing funds from bank cards
Thirteen Moldovan citizens, between 20 and 50-years-old have been convicted in France for stealing funds from the bank cards issued by financial institutions in France, Radio Moldova News reported.
According to press officer of the National Investigation Inspectorate, Diana Sochirca, previously members of the criminal group have been convicted for similar offenses.

"Following investigations carried out by employees of the Centre for fighting cyber crimes of the National Inspectorate of Investigation with police in France it was established that for one year members of the criminal group were installing at the ATMs, located in France, specialized equipment to copying the magnetic stripe of bank cards. Consequently, the counterfeiting of cards and using them at ATMs, were withdrawing cash in large proportions. The amount of material damage caused is over 6 million Moldovan leu," said Diana Sochirca.

Following the searches conducted by law enforcement in the homes of suspects and the lab identified in Moldova, where it was made the specialized equipment, police identified over 62 machineries and parts needed for assembly.

Thus, in joint international cooperation, all members have been arrested and sentenced to prison by French justice to the term between two and five years.

“Ombudsman” was first used in its modern sense in 1809 when the Swedish Parliament established the office of Justitieombudsman, who was to look after citizens’ interests in their dealings with government.

Later, in 1988, a similar service was established in media in France. It was a real "explosion” that caused the appearance of similar services in other world countries.
