Portal for the Moldovan diaspora was launched
Moldovans from abroad will find out information about public services, projects, programs and events for them within a virtual community. The Bureau of Diaspora Relations (BRD) launched the online portal www.din.md for moldovans living abroad.
The portal contains comprehensive information about the services provided by the authorities to migrants.  The portal will also provide information about the events intended for the diaspora, organized in Moldova, and the events with the diaspora, staged by the Moldovans from abroad.

According to the head of the Bureau for Diaspora Relations Victor Lutenco, the creation of the website www.din.md  is a reply to the citizenes’ request to create a platform for moldovans to collaborate and help each other.

The PM welcomed the launch of the portal and informed that by this event , the Government inaugurated a string of events dedicated to the Diaspora. They will create a better framework for communication with Moldovan citizens from abroad to jointly discuss the government’s policies, analyse the present perceptions on these policies within the Diaspora, and in particular, to see how these policies can be improved.

“The second edition of the Summer Camp DOR will be held between on 21-27 August; the Days of the Diaspora will be marked for the first time ever between 28 and 30 August and the 6th  Congress of the Diaspora will take place on September 1 – 3. The first Diaspora Business Forum will top this series of events. The forum will be held on October 6 - 7 in Chisinau", said the PM.  

Events dedicated to Diaspora Days will be organized at national level in over 50 localities.

Ombudsman service is an independent source of information, explanation and analysis of the Public Broadcaster’s programs and adherence to European standards and practices of broadcasting programs’ development.

Ombudsman is a mediator who handles complaints between a televiewer /radio-listener or a group of people and the Broadcaster. Ombudsman replies to the questions of TV viewers and Radio-listeners, receives and reviews complaints from people.

“Ombudsman” was first used in its modern sense in 1809 when the Swedish Parliament established the office of Justitieombudsman, who was to look after citizens’ interests in their dealings with government.

Later, in 1988, a similar service was established in media in France. It was a real "explosion” that caused the appearance of similar services in other world countries.
