Moldovan officials attending charity actions in Baku
Moldovan Ambassador to Baku and his wife attended a charity entitled "Around the World with drinks" , dedicated to "Children's Day". The event was organized by the diplomatic missions accredited to the Republic of Azerbaijan under the auspices of Wives Ambassadors Club "HOMS".
The program included the presentation of the stands where the participating embassies have exposed domestic products. The Moldovan embassy in Baku proposed for tasting Moldovan wines and brandy, as well as traditional pies.

Thus, charity tasting was attended by officials from Azerbaijan, Azeri businessmen, diplomats, representatives of international companies based in the capital of Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of NGOs specializing in charity. The event was attended by representatives of the Moldovan diaspora established in Azerbaijan.

According to information provided by the Moldovan Embassy in Baku, in the event, the Moldovan stand was very popular for the participants. They praised the quality of Moldovan national alcoholic beverages.

At the end of the action, the organizing committee of Ambassadors Wives Club "HOMS" collected about 30,000 manats (equivalent of 30,000 euros), funds that will be directed to the three orphanages in Azerbaijan, tutored by the "HOMS" club, as well as towards individual medical aid program for children from vulnerable families.

Carmelia Albu – Ombudsman of the Public Broadcaster „Teleradio-Moldova”, in the service of community

Ombudsman service is an independent source of information, explanation and analysis of the Public Broadcaster’s programs and adherence to European standards and practices of broadcasting programs’ development.

Ombudsman is a mediator who handles complaints between a televiewer /radio-listener or a group of people and the Broadcaster. Ombudsman replies to the questions of TV viewers and Radio-listeners, receives and reviews complaints from people.

“Ombudsman” was first used in its modern sense in 1809 when the Swedish Parliament established the office of Justitieombudsman, who was to look after citizens’ interests in their dealings with government.

Later, in 1988, a similar service was established in media in France. It was a real "explosion” that caused the appearance of similar services in other world countries.
