Moldovan wines were awarded gold medals at an international competition in Portugal
Moldovan wines were awarded two gold and two silver medals at the Festival of European Wines and Enotourism. The contest was recently held at the Palace Marques de Pombal in Oeiras, Portugal. More than 1,100 wines from Europe and Brazil participated in. The awards will be awarded within World Exhibition in Milan in 2016.
Ice-Wine Chateau Vartely Musact Ottonel 2011 won the Gold Medal and Ice-Wine Chateau Vartely Riesling 2011 - Gold Medal. Other 2 Moldovan wines were awarded silver medals.
The participation of our country was ensured by the company of the Moldovan Simion Croitoru. He said for Radio Moldova that this competition was attended by more than 100 sommeliers worldwide. "It's a victory for me. In a country like Portugal, with many wines, a country with a rich wine industry, this victory is more important.  We know to produce good and quality wine, our wine got 95 points out of 100 ", said Simion Croitoru.
"Moldova has participated for the first time in this competition and we can be proud that we have quality wines, the Portuguese people are pleased with Moldovan wine", said the importer of Moldovan wines.
In the closing ceremony of the festival, artists from the Culture and Art Center "Trei Culori" performed a great concert, accompanied by the band "Maestro",  runs the Moldovan Embassy in Lisbon.
Valeriu Turea, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova, Alexandre Vassalo, ex-ambassador of Portugal in the Republic of Moldova and Paulo César da Silva Sanches Castinhas Vistas, chairman of the Municipal Chamber Oeiras participated in this event.

Carmelia Albu – Ombudsman of the Public Broadcaster „Teleradio-Moldova”, in the service of community

Ombudsman service is an independent source of information, explanation and analysis of the Public Broadcaster’s programs and adherence to European standards and practices of broadcasting programs’ development.

Ombudsman is a mediator who handles complaints between a televiewer /radio-listener or a group of people and the Broadcaster. Ombudsman replies to the questions of TV viewers and Radio-listeners, receives and reviews complaints from people.

“Ombudsman” was first used in its modern sense in 1809 when the Swedish Parliament established the office of Justitieombudsman, who was to look after citizens’ interests in their dealings with government.

Later, in 1988, a similar service was established in media in France. It was a real "explosion” that caused the appearance of similar services in other world countries.
