Moldovan youth to participate in the competition for admission to military schools in the US
Moldovan young people can participate in 2017 entrance examination in two senior military educational institutions in the United States of America (USA). It is about the Military Academy "West Point" and the Air Force Military Academy. Files can be submitted to Human Resource Management Directorate of the Ministry of Defence until 4 November 2016.
According to a press release from the Moldovan Ministry of Defence, at the entrance examination can participate men and women aged between 17 and 23 years unfulfilled on 1 July 2017, graduates of high schools, colleges or universities.

A prerequisite for admission is proficiency in English. Thus, the candidates will take the test for knowledge of English TOEFL and school aptitude test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT).

In addition, candidates will take the physical training tests. Testing, which will be conducted by the Ministry of Defence jointly with the US Embassy in Chisinau, will include throwing basketball, traction at the fixed bar, spool type running, lifting trunk, push-ups, running at 1.60 km.

The duration of studies at higher education institutions in the US military is four years, and school fees are fully covered by the US Federal Government.
